Again, Free Comic Book Day is just around the corner (May 6, 2023). Yesterday I shared the top 5 books I’m personally excited for. Today are the 4 books I know I’m going to like, but my kids will absolutely love!
1. Spidey & His Amazing Friends (Marvel)
If you’ve not been indoctrinated into this world with your kiddos, it is legitimately pretty good, and have all three of my kids caring about Spidey and more importantly, wanting to read!
2. The Smurfs 65th Anniversary (Papercutz)
The Smurfs were one of the things my parents imprinted on me when I was younger. While my children have seen the cartoon episodes a couple of times, they are in love with the terrible movies, which I guess in a win! I was also TODAY years old when I learned that there’s apparently a Nickelodeon series? Lets go!!!!
3. Dog Man and the League of Misfits (Graphix)
We are new to the Dog Man universe, but I think after this week’s Scholastic Book Fair at my kiddos’ school, we may be the proud new owner of some new Dog Man books. So, we might as well see what’s coming in this new world!
4. Animal Crossing & Kirby Manga Mania (Viz Media)
While Animal Crossing got most of us through COVID, my kiddos have just begun to explore this world, so we’re excited to read about it all. We also love Kirby. One of our first plans over this summer is to play through the Kirby games as a family, again, if we can read about what we’re playing, then lets keep the reading running with us!
